I'm very fond of the sound of this album. I went into the studio with Glenn Matullo (Shawn Mullins, John Mayer) and we set up some microphones and I sat down with my wolf dog Maya lying next to me and just blasted through these songs. I told Glenn that I was just going to start singing and playing and unless there were any train wrecks I would see him when the album was recorded. I had to stop and retry one song, otherwise they were all first takes recorded live in the studio. It took 45 minutes to record this album. We messed around with it sonically afterward and spent some time doing that but otherwise this was an incredibly fast and easy record to put together.
